Quinta das Bágeiras "Abafado" Vinho Licoroso '07
Quinta das Bágeiras produces some of the most traditional and age-worthy wines in Bairrada. These wines are also very rare, as they have attained a following in Portugal. All the wines are made with indigenous grapes, and this vinho licoroso is made from Baga. The fermentation took place in small open containers and was interrupted with the addition of brandy, distilled in alembic charentais by the technique of double distillation. The method leaves residual sugar in the wine, creating a deliciously sweet, fruity flavor.
